Responsibilities: |
The Director of Customer Marketing, is responsible for delivering strategy and programs which drive business with all customers across all channels and for all brands. The Director of Customer Marketing leads the customer joint business planning process for the Marketing department and ensures that this process delivers against key brand marketing objectives. These objectives include distribution of new and existing products, in store merchandising/promotional activity, and competitive pricing. Close collaboration and planning with Customers as well as our Sales, and Marketing teams is required.- Drives Marketing strategy with strategic accounts.
- Lead Joint Business Planning efforts with targeted strategic account sales teams and assigned customers.
- Situation assessment, OGSM, key strategies and tactics for targeted strategic accounts.
- Key Owner of promotional program development and execution across all brands.
- Lead the development an overarching brand program architecture and gains alignment for the plan across all brands and with key stakeholders.
- Lead the development promotional programs which are consistent with market needs and brand strategies.
- Develops an annual pricing strategy and price change execution plan.
- Drives prioritization of sales initiatives. Evaluates sales force capacity, and use insights to regulate the number and complexity of programs in the field.
- Ensure various Marketing organizations understand the retail environment and specific customer issues.
- Consumer Insights
- Develops a unique market position by leveraging category and shopper insights with targeted customers.
- Ensure that Strategic Account sales teams have a deep understanding of category and shopper insights, and how to leverage those insights to grow our clients business.
- People Management
- Responsible for attracting, developing and retaining talent.
- Coach and mentor subordinates to increase levels of performance and prepare for future increased responsibilities.
- Individual development and career planning for each team member.

- Twelve + years of Sales Management and Customer Marketing experience.
- Must have at least five years in a Customer Marketing Manager role coupled with five years of Director Level, people management experience.
- A Marketing or Cross-Functional rotation is also a plus.
