Responsibilities: |
As the successful Trade Marketing Manager candidate you will have the responsibility of supporting the achievement of our client's initiatives and brand goals through the development, management, and evaluation of trade strategies and practices (pricing and promotion.) In this role you will collaborate with Retail Sales on the development, implementation, and evaluation of trade budgets and demand plans (forecast.) Additionally, you will coordinate pricing alignment between Retail and Foodservice Sales. You will be the "go to" individual providing critical thinking and leadership on current and future trade promotion strategies. Planning and Evaluation - Provide leadership as part of brand and new product teams on:
- Develop corporate trade merchandising objectives, strategy and tactics
- Evaluate merchandising plan efficiency and effectiveness with CICM and Finance
- Manage corporate price lists and related documents and the communication of changes
- Develop and track corporate trade spending and distribution allowance budgets
- Generally participate in one major special project per year
Demand Planning (forecast) - Develop, maintenance, and communication of Retail demand plan
- Proactively gather insights from Sales and Marketing on factors impacting demand
- Participation in key Supply Chain initiatives related to demand planning
- Lead initiatives to improve demand planning processes and tools
Strategy Development and Industry Knowledge - Participate in providing thought and implementation leadership on trade and list price strategy
- Coordinate the gathering and communication of industry knowledge related to trade spending and pricing

Sales Collaboration - Support achievement of volume and spending objectives through collaboration with Sales and CICM to develop, implement, and evaluate customer-specific plans
- Participate in on-going education to gain understanding of market and customer dynamics
- Coordinate list pricing across all classes of trade (Retail and FS)
Personal Development and Team Collaboration - Actively seek out opportunities to coach and mentor fellow employees
- Provide job performance feedback to managers and peers on a frequent basis

Experience: |
- Minimum of five years experience in Consumer Packaged Goods in relevant areas such as Category Management, Sales, Sales Analysis, Trade Marketing, and Finance
- Expert analytical skills and demonstrated ability to develop strategic insights across multiple data sources including syndicated scanner and panel databases, custom consumer studies, proprietary shipment and financial reports
- Ability to translate strategic insights into fact-based plans/presentations for internal and external customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Powerpoint) and Nielsen/NITRO or IRI/Xlerate Plus is required; database management and project management skills are beneficial
