Responsibilities: |
The Channel Marketing Manager will develop and execute plans that will profitably drive business in their respective channel of trade. The open position will manage key retail accounts within the Sporting Goods Specialty Channel. The manager will strategize and cooperate with Sales and Product Development teams to meet corporate objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Channel Strategy/Planning ¿ develop strategies and tactics that will maximize financial performance in the trade ( select key metrics: channel sales and profit; sell through and GMROI)
- Customer Analysis ¿ execute analysis of assigned customers to focus on key opportunities that will maximize business for a given account
- Drive new product and marketing programs into the trade, lead efforts to create and implement national and retailer specific promotions and programs.
- Channel Specific Merchandising - develop effective merchandising solutions that drive customer sell through as well as maximize exposure and properly position Pure Fishings brand portfolio. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve in-store communication and education with anglers and retail personnel.
- Channel Specific Promotion ¿ create comprehensive national promotional programs to stimulate category leading sell through for individual channels of trade.
- Communication: serve as a key resource in collecting and communicating trade information throughout marketing and the organization as needed. Critical to involve Sales and Product Development teams in the planning and processes above.

- Minimum 5 years Marketing experience
- BA required/MBA a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Sweepstakes and Promotion Exp.
- Knowledge and application of marketing and sales principles
- Working in a deadline and performance oriented environment
- A self starter with energy, drive and determination to accomplish goals on time.
- Results oriented and possess excellent analytical skills
- Must be comfortable working within organizational complexity and ambiguity.
